Abhishek Pareek (Ph.D.)

Abhishek Pareek was born in Rajasthan, India. He obtained his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry under Prof. Srinivasarao Yaragorla, School of Chemistry University of Hyderabad on calcium-catalyzed regioselective cyclizations of propargyl alcohols. Following his doctoral studies, he pursued postdoctoral research in Poland. He first worked with Prof. Marcin Kalek at the University of Warsaw on the organocatalyzed regioselective dearomatization of pyridinium salts under Morita–Baylis–Hillman conditions, and and subsequently at the Institute of Organic Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences, with Dr. Przemysław Gaweł, where he expanded his expertise in the synthesis of optoelectronic materials and their applications in organic semiconductors

He is currently a Ramanujan Fellow at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, supported by the prestigious Ramanujan Fellowship awarded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Government of India. This highly competitive fellowship supports early-career researchers working abroad in returning to India to establish their research programs. At IISc, his research group focuses on the design and synthesis of polycyclic chiral materials with tailored optoelectronic and chiroptical properties, targeting applications in organic electronics, circularly polarized light emission, asymmetric catalysis, and advanced photonic devices.
